What is nutrition?
Energy is required to carry out biological functions in the body of living beings (all living beings including humans). This energy is obtained from food. The entire process of ingestion of food (nutrients) by living beings (the process of delivering food into the body), digestion, absorption and assimilation and excretion of indigestible matter is called nutrition. The substances required for energy production, physical growth and repair of wear and tear are called nutrients.
Types of nutrients:
Our diet should include such foods that can supply the right amount of nutrients. Such a diet is called a balanced diet.
